ekar is the Middle East’s first and largest personal mobility platform, providing users on-demand access to a network of thousands of vehicles via its mobile app. Vilhelm Hedberg has raised over 30 million USD for ekar’s international expansion and pivoted the business to a pure mobility tech company connecting fleet owners and OEMs to renters with a seamless digital rental and leasing platform. In 2021, ekar launched its Self-Drive Super app and ekar Subscription service, allowing users to book economy or luxury cars for a period of up to nine months with no down payment or long-term commitment.
